It was an absolute pleasure and joy to build with Papalia Building & Design.
Pas operates with a high level of integrity. He isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and ALWAYS had our best interest at heart.
From the very first point of contact we were met with a level of professionalism, guidance, and a sense of calm that is not normally attributed to the building industry. As we were building a rear sub-division site while living at the front lot, minimal disruption to our family was critical. Pas ensured that everything was well organised, well communicated, and the site was always impeccably clean.
This provided an assurance that anytime our kids were to wander up the back everything was safe and secure. The trades that worked on site always cleaned up after themselves, were very mannerly, polite, and accommodating.
Given the economic situation currently and at that time, I have no doubt that Pas encountered many challenges while performing this build, while these challenges were communicated to us always, they never comprised the price or the timeline for the build.
This we feel shows a high-level of integrity, professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to help and do what is necessary.
From an administrative perspective, Marina was very pleasant, efficient, and accommodating.
Invoices, receipts, and queries were processed in a timely manner and no request was too big. Marina’s eye for colour and styling played a big part in the finishing’s of the house.
She was always available to help with our constant stream of colour and furniture questions.
As a team, Pas & Marina really complement each other with their skills that they bring to Papalia Building and Design. We feel that not only had we found an amazing builder, we would also without question, work with them again!! Having worked with previous builders before, we really did experience the difference!

The best investment we've ever made.
I cannot recommend Papalia Building and Design highly enough. They recently redesigned our ensuite bathroom and carried out the renovation for us. We absolutely love our new bathroom. We could not possibly have gotten the results we now have on our own.
Pas and Marina are beautiful to deal with. Pas has so much experience and such an eye for detail – and so much detail goes into a bathroom! He was involved in the initial design and each step of the reno. I definitely felt Pas spent a lot of time and energy on our project. He was on site almost every single morning and sometimes several times throughout the day. He liaised with the trades, triple checked everything, problem solved with us and did a lot of research to answer our questions and make sure we had the best possible outcome on every decision. Every recommendation Pas made was a good one. All the trades people he used were professional, experienced, on time and did an amazing job. Our home and master bedroom was cared for with little interruption except for the original demo that could not be helped.
The results are in the quality of the bathroom we now get to look at and enjoy every single day. It’s the best investment on our property we have made to date and I would highly recommend Papalia Building to anyone thinking about renovating or building. I could not be happier and for our next renovation I will not hesitate to use Papalia Building again if he can fit us in!

What can I say about Papalia design? We used them to remodel our Entry and we could not be happier with the results. We walked into the coffee shop to meet Pas with very low expectations because that had unfortunately been our experience with many BUT we are so glad we did! Pas’s experience and his attention to detail was impressive, he was genuine and transparent with feedbacks and seemed truly invested in making it happen for us! We walked out knowing that Pas would build our first home and that it was the best decision we had made to get us one step closer to our dream home. Confidence and trust.
I met Pas in my quest to find a builder that I could trust to construct a house to suit our circumstances. He attended a meeting with my husband Brian & myself. My husband had suffered a catastrophic stroke & with advancing years I needed a home to cater to his specific needs to continue his home care. At that meeting my decision on the choice of builder was made within 20 minutes.
Pas was the point of contact from planning to completion. He quickly gained my confidence & trust. I was not disappointed in my expectations.
During the planning he was observant, meticulous, organised & methodical. He was efficient in his research for products not within the normal home build range & he usually presented more than one option. I valued his opinions & support.

Our experience in dealing with you reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago.
The story goes something like this:
A man happened along three bricklayers busy at work.
He asked the first bricklayer, “What are you doing?”
“I’m laying bricks,” the first bricklayer said.
The man asked the second bricklayer the same question.
“I’m putting up a wall,” was the reply.
The passerby then posed the question to the third bricklayer.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“I’m building a great cathedral,” the third bricklayer replied.
Working with you I feel as if we are working with the 3rd bricklayer.

The best decision I made.
I could not recommend Papalia Building & Design any higher after building my house with Pas.
From the moment I met Pas I knew this was the builder I wanted to build my house. It turns out to be the best decision I made, so much so that if the opportunity arises, I will be building with Pas again.
After many disappointing meetings with most of the current project builders which left me not even wanting to build a house anymore due to empty promises of build times, quality and a general feeling that I will be shoved in a queue of unhappy customers stuck with no house and continual price rises. All that changed when I found Papalia Building & Design and met with Pas and Marina, it’s extremely refreshing to find a builder with such huge integrity and transparency.
Through Pas’ recommendation we used Daniel from Contempo Design to design the house and they hit the nail on the head from the very first concept; exactly what I wanted, and we didn’t change a thing. I’m still beyond happy with this decision after the house has been finished, the house just fits the block perfectly, uses all the space so efficiently and definitely does not feel like a cookie cutter house design.
Throughout the entire process dealing with Pas and Marina was a pleasure, and genuinely has the client’s best interest at heart and nothing was too much to ask. The level of professionalism, communication and organisation was far above and beyond what I ever expected from the building industry, I was always kept in the loop, assured that work would go ahead and if any unexpected issues came up (which were very few!) for example the current material shortage. Pas always had a back up plan, his backups even had backups ensuring there were no delays. A very stress-free build, all thanks to Pas, Marina and the excellent trades they use.
Pas’ level of attention to detail really has made this house excellent which I can tell Pas takes huge pride in, while most builders either wouldn’t care, don’t have the time or are simply trying to cut costs this can’t be said for Pas; I really cannot fault the outcome of the house down to even little details like tiling grout lining up perfectly to the room and cabinets. Pas even went above and beyond to personally fix issues that weren’t even his problem just so the total outcome would be that much better.
These guys are going places and deserve all their future success. Can’t wait to do it all again one day!
